Wish we could freeze time but we can only enjoy it as it passes!Ashleyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16737083133074390263noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3783119705498557355.post-18217035918255782312013-04-14T00:52:46.446-05:002013-04-14T00:52:46.446-05:00A topic that has been on my mind a lot lately . . ...A topic that has been on my mind a lot lately . . . beautifully shared.Jenniferhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17054153704627803449noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3783119705498557355.post-30220861311471697872013-04-13T19:05:22.648-05:002013-04-13T19:05:22.648-05:00Such a beautiful post and so much of the same thou...Such a beautiful post and so much of the same thoughts I have been having as well. My son is a 16 year old Jr., just a few months shy of 17 and I am wondering where in the world the time has gone. He will be taking his ACT in June as this month he is involved in our local homeschool play and it was just "too much" to plan for this morning. As I read your post, I am feeling the same way you are and it is such an encouragement to know there are other moms out there with those same feelings. They are ready in some ways and not in others and I have learned soooo much from him this year. Letting go is soooo hard but it is also teaching us to back away and trust that God has equipped them just as He did for us when we were their age.

P.S. I also have a 5 1/2 year old that we adopted from the Hunan province when she was one year old. Such a joy!!Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10681432932174345495noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3783119705498557355.post-8182418625829099012013-04-13T13:45:25.504-05:002013-04-13T13:45:25.504-05:00really beautiful post. Just yesterday, I was booking reservations for when we take them to college in August. Senior prom is tonight. Graduation party planning is in full swing. So exciting, but when I think of them walking away, the tears come. I have a 22 year old also, so I know they come back. But it is never quite the same, once they walk away. They take a piece of my heart with them.
Blessings to your daughter as she begins this new journey.
ashleyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10725642786823818983noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3783119705498557355.post-58532389333341776372013-04-13T10:28:55.768-05:002013-04-13T10:28:55.768-05:00Jody,

Now, Elie is 23, living on her own, working, and pursuing a career change to teaching. And, speaking of time flying by...Katie will be done with her first semester in less than a month!! Sending up prayers for Emily and will continue to pray as she makes decisions in the next few months regarding colleges.
LaurenSimply LKJhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06691860606573110974noreply@blogger.com
